Teach with Songs

Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you,
with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another
with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
Colossians 3:16

Whatever you get from God’s Word, let it richly fill you, then read God’s Word and get more.  Let it dwell in you “with all wisdom” which God will freely give (James 1:5).  Then teach and correct others “with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs.”   This is a different way of working with people.  I think that if we used psalms, hymns and spiritual songs when we teach and correct people, such as children, we would get beautiful results.  To use this method effectively we need to study the Bible so that we know verses that apply to the different situations of life.  Think what a different sound our homes would have if we said psalms and sang hymn and spiritual songs.
