T for Time

Time – that elusive, valuable thing.  The weeks speed by.  The hours are long.  There are not enough hours in a day.  Time is wasted.  We fill our days.  Our moments are empty.  We procrastinate.  Some race through the day.  Others have time on their hands.

God made time.  I looked up the word time in the Bible and found some things that God says about time.

God knows exactly what to do with time.  He is in control of it.  He has an appointed time for action, such as when He gave Abraham and Sarah a son.  He knows the right time to respond.

 Is anything too difficult for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, at this time next year, and Sarah will have a son.
Genesis 18:14

The eyes of all look to You,
And You give them their food in due time.
Psalm 145:15

As busy as He must be, He still has time to listen.

Blessed be the Lord,
Because He has heard the voice of my supplication.
The Lord is my strength and my shield;
My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart exults,
And with my song I shall thank Him.
Psalm 28:6-7

Although
There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven—
Ecclesiastes 3:1

It is most important that we use our time to seek God.
Sow with a view to righteousness,
Reap in accordance with kindness;
Break up your fallow ground,
For it is time to seek the Lord.
Hosea 10:12

We need to make sure of our future destiny.  We need salvation from Jesus Christ, who is the only one who can give it.
 Do this, knowing the time,
that it is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep;
for now salvation is nearer to us than when we believed.

Romans 13:11

God’s time is forever.  He is worthy to be praised forever.
Blessed be the name of the Lord
From this time forth and forever.
Psalm 113:2
