Salvation Is Known

The Lord has made his salvation known
and revealed his righteousness to the nations.
Psalm 98:2

God has made His salvation known.  He does not hide any of the information that we need to help us to be saved.  He gives full disclosure of it.

His Method:  Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.  His sinless life which enabled Him to be the perfect sacrifice.  His blood shed on the cross paid the eternal punishment of our sin.  He rose from the dead and is now in heaven.

Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved
Acts 16:31

For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance:
that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day
according to the Scriptures
1 Corinthians 15:3-4

In your relationships with one another,
have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
Who, being in very nature God,

did not consider equality with God
something to be used to his own advantage;

rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself

by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place

and gave him the name that is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:5-11

His Plan:  Everyone who accepts Jesus’ death on the cross as payment for their sins and who trusts in no one or nothing else for salvation, He will save.

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,”
and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
you will be saved.
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified,
and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”
For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—
the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him,

for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 10:9-13

His Gifts: God’s righteousness

be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law,
but that which is through faith in Christ—
the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith

Philippians 3:9

              Eternal Life

For the wages of sin is death,
but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 6:23

             His On-going Care

Do not be anxious about anything,
but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7

And my God will meet all your needs
according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:19

True Christianity is not like other religions.  They tend to hide information.  Many religions do not tell people how they stand before God; they have to wait until they die.  Even after death, the religion can give no assurance that they will actually go to heaven.  Other religions talk about life after death, but it is vague, uncertain and hopeless.

God wants us to know.  He wants us to come to Him and live for Him.

But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God,
and that by believing you may have life in his name.

John 20:31

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
1 John 5:13

We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding,
so that we may know Him who is true.
And we are in Him who is true by being in His Son Jesus Christ.
He is the true God and eternal life.

1 John 5:20
