Numbers

Numbers records the children of Israel’s response to God’s regulations.  The book shows man’s struggle to believe and obey God and God’s faithfulness.  The fact that there are definite consequences for sin is also clear in this book.  The book actually begins 1 month after Exodus in time and covers a 39 year time period.

Important people in this book:  Moses, Joshua, Korah, and Balaam

Words to mark:  complain, murmur, Moab, Midia, according to the pattern, unclean, soothing aroma

Marking the LORD helps you to keep track of what the Lord did.

Stories from Numbers are used by several New Testament writers.
